AGP asks PM to reveal details of Framework pact

The coalition partner of ruling BJP in Assam, Asom Gana Parishad, AGP has written to the Prime Minister to make public the provision of the Framework Agreement which was signed in 2015 between the Centre and NSCN -IM faction.
Assam Agriculture Minister and chief of the Asom Gana Parishad Atul Bora today said that the Centre should make the Framework Agreement public.
Meanwhile, the Centre has strongly refuted as erroneous the reports that it has agreed to carve out a larger Nagaland State.
A Home Ministry official said that no such decision has been taken.
The official said, such reports are erroneous and it is clarified that there is no such agreement or decision by the Government in this regard.
Thuingaleng Muivah, General Secretary, NSCN-IM (Naga insurgent group) was quoted recently that the 'Framework Agreement' signed with the Centre two years back has recognised the outfit's demand for territorial integration of all Naga inhabited areas in the region.
Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass said in a statement, that the BJP is committed to protect the integrity of the state.
Earlier, Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal had also said that territorial integrity of the State will not be compromised.
Greater Nagaland or Nagalim has been the demand of the NSCN (IM) for long.
