He said that he is just a party worker, not an MLA and he had never contested any election.
"But the Central leaders have acknowledged my hard work and I have been working at the grass root level for many decades.
I feel elated on being given the responsibility of leading the party in Manipur", Bhabananda said.
"The post is a very challenging one and I will work together with all BJP workers to topple the Ibobi Government", he continued.
Acknowledging that the upcoming IMC election will be his first acid test as president of BJP, he said that winning IMC election is his first target.
He said that there is no division within BJP Manipur Pradesh.
BJP is not a party like Congress party which is monopolised by a single family.
He hoped that all BJP workers would support him too.
