Chief Minister N Biren Singh has categorically stated that he would talk to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Athuan Abonmai murder case during his visit to Delhi beginning today.
He made the statement at the observance of Jana Neta Hijam Irabot's 125th birth anniversary at Irabot Square at Thangmeiband Lilashing Khongnangkhong.
Speaking at the State level observation, Chief Minister N Biren Singh led his Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, officials and general public in offering floral tributes to the statue of Lam- yanba Irabot.
Speaking to media persons, N Biren Singh said that Irabot, despite belonging to a respectable and well-to-do family, worked at the grassroots for the needy and downtrodden people.

As a humble tribute to his efforts and sacrifices, the present Government began celebrating the day as a State function from 2018, besides erecting his statue and developing Irabot Square at Thangmeiband, Biren said and urged the present generation to follow Irabot's ideas to eradicate inequality among the people.
Responding to a query on Athuan Abonmai murder case, N Biren Singh informed that the State Government had written to Centre two times to hand over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) .
Stating that a copy of the FIR of the case had also been attached in the last letter, the Chief Minister stated that he would talk to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the matter during his Delhi visit beginning today.
Regarding the proposed visit of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu to the State, the Chief Minister said that it would be a part of the Vice President's tour to the North East region.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government would identify the developmental projects which would be inaugurated by the Vice President.
