KSO Bungpi moots CBI probe into twin 'murder' case

Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Bungpi Block condemned and decried the murder of Thotreichan Kashung and Naosomi Lungleng of Sinakeithel village and urged authorities concerned to apprehend the perpetrators.
A press statement issued by KSO Bungpi Block president Mangboi Baite informed that the organisation vehemently condemns and decries the murder cases.
The decomposed bodies of the duo was found on August 8 near Ihang river bank after a Sinakeithel villager, who lives nearby, sniffed foul smell emanating from the site.
Ukhrul SP and additional SP of Kangpokpi were pressed into action to nab the murderers and the adjoining Kuki villagers at the behest of the area CSOs also rendered their full cooperation in the investigation, the KSO Block and assured that the CSOs will continue to support the authority concerned in making concerted efforts to solve the murder case.
The investigation team is urged to leave no stone unturned to nab whosoever is involved in the matter, regardless of the community they belong to, the statement said.
The different communities settling in the area need to collectively propose CBI probe if the need arises instead of distrusting teach other, it stressed and opined that any unnatural or suspicious death in a particular community should not be unreasonably interpreted as perpetrated by somebody from the other community.
The KSO also appealed to the two major communities settling in the area to refrain from giving communal tone to the murder cases but should instead allow the law to take its own course, the release Said, adding that each and every life is precious and the people should learn to live in a more cordial relationship to ensure peace and harmony in the area.
