No compromise in the quality: Francis Ngajokpa

Roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in villages of Manipur will be inspected to find out whether or not contractors have followed prescribed quality control mechanism.
Francis Ngajokpa, Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (RD&PR) said roads being constructed under PMGSY are for the benefits of people and any compromise in the quality will not be tolerated and urged the people to assist the department for timely completion of the works.
The minister also added there will be an investigation to check whether quality is being maintained in the construction of roads under the scheme within this month.
PMGSY in Manipur is being implemented Manipur Rural Roads Development Agency (MSRRDA) under RD&PR.
On Satruday, Ngajokpa in the company of chief engineer of MSRRDA scrutinize the construction of roads from NH 150 to Nambol Leimapokpam (3 km); NH 150 to Aimol Pony Farm (6.06 km); Moirang Kumbi road (3 km); N Nabin Villlage to Nambol (11 km) and Khousabung road (3.8 km).
At present under 9th phase of the scheme, roads are being constructed in the districts of Bishnupur and Churachandpur.
