Irawat for entire country: MP Viswam

CPI Manipur State Council observed the 125th birth anniversary of Jananeta Irawat at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Palace Compound here on Thursday.
Attending the event, Rajya Sabha MP Binoy Viswam hailed Irawat as one of the rare gems of India and said that he is not only for communist party but for the entire country.
He strived for a so society based on equality and worked for farmers' welfare by forming Kishan Sabha.
His ideologies and works have become more and more meaningful as the time progresses and as a result, the state is observing his birth anniversary every year with renewed love and respect for the late leader.
Binoy Viswam went on to' say that during his education career, he often visited Manipur and got acquainted with the soil and situation of the state.
At that time, he came to know about Irawat, his works and ideologies, the MP added.
He further said that the slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash of BJP government is full of lies as BJP never strives for equal and inclusive development.
Amid the Covid pandemic, the BJP government is working in favour of corporate houses while the public are suffering.
There is no reason to keep the BJP government any longer, he said, while adding that the ideologies of Irawat, who believed in truth and equality, will prevail in the country.
CPI national executive member Dr Moirangthem Nara said that there will be no Manipur had Irawat not launched public movement.
However, the state is converging into a chaotic state and political situation has overturned.
Public have lost respect and trust of politicians.
Irawat dedicated his life to fight against corruption, and bring peace, development and unity among different communities.
His birth anniversary is being observed in different states and people are still inspired by his works and ideologies, he added.
CPI Manipur State Council secretary L Sotinkumar, former secretary L Iboyaima, secretariat member A Lala, Manipur State Shumang Leela Council lifetime president Ph Gunachandra and leaders of 11 opposition parties also attended the function.
