The state government has extended the curfew imposed in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Ukhrul till July 10 .
In an order issued on Wednesday, State Executive Committee chairman and chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar stated that order has been issued considering the Covid situation in the state has improved compared to May.

Stationery shops and opticians outside Thangal and Paona bazars can open from 10 am to 2 pm on the days when grocery shops are closed.
Further, opening up will depend on the Covid scenario and the progress in vaccination, it said.
The order further said that vegetable vendors who are in compliance with clearly marked spots for spacing of vendors and grocery shops will be allowed to open as per earlier arrangement on July 1, 4, 7 and 10 from 7 am to 10 am.
High Court can decide its activities, based on various measures taken up by the government, as deemed appropriate, it added.
