SPDPO supports Mission Blind School

State Platform of Disabled People's Organization (SPDPO) Manipur which is an apex body of Disabled People's Organizations from all districts of Manipur has decided to support the reasonable demand of the Students' Union, Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi.
The students are demanding to upgrade their school to a full fledged one.
A press note released by Joint Secretary, SPDPO deplored the lack attention of state govt.towards the Visually Impaired Students who have been on indefinite hunger strike since June 23 .
SPDPO urged authorities to take immediate necessary action and to provide needed support to the students so that students of Mission Blind School could get proper education.
The organization further appealed to different Civil Societies of the state to get involved in the matter for the welfare of the Persons with Disabilities as the Govt.is refusing to concede the demands in spite of several assurances since October 4, 2013 .
