KEN members to bring a change in Manipur

Imphal, October 31 2015 : As a part of social and economic development initiative in Manipur, Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) members have taken a commitment to bring a change in Manipur by providing skill development for the youth of Manipur to generate employment for economic independence.

Economic Independence by way of income generation for basic needs and livelihood and aspirations for a better life is the main driver for the growth of a community, a state and a nation.

Inspired by the event of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, PBD, a group of Manipuri NRIs, who participated the 2011 event, was striving to form a global platform called KEN for Global Manipuris and their friends across the world to bring a Social-Economic Development in Manipur.

KEN was formally inaugurated on Saturday, July 26, 2014 by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh who was present in the event online with other dignitaries.

KEN has been actively involved in various activities for initiating economic development in Manipur.

K Herojit the architect of this initiative is a Singapore based entrepreneur with fifteen years of experience in Oil & Gas Industries.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat and Executive Education from Harvard Business School, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Business School and IIM Ahmedabad.
