Miss Kut concerned over rising crimes

Miss Kut-2013 Lhingjanei Kipgen has voiced her concern over rising crime and violence against women and children in the State.
Speaking to media at her residence at Hengbung village here today, Lhingjanei observed that the time has come for the people to join hands to fight against crime and violence against women and children in Manipur to advance the cause of human rights, democracy and common values of humanity.
Drawing the attention of the Government for taking up necessary actions in this regard as well, Lhingjanei noted that if the problem of rising crime against women and children is left unaddressed, then it would lead to serious consequences of human rights violations in the society.
She also stressed on the need to empower Manipuri women in the effort to curb rising crime and violence in the society.
