Imphal, December 27 2019: The Green Foundation and Rongmei Naga Baptist Association, Noney, under the aegis of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), Manipur, organised World Soil Month 2019, at Makhuam (Marangching) Part III yesterday.

The programme, which was organised under the theme 'Conservation off soil and application of smart organise agriculture and soil', mainly consisted of distributing bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides to the farmers.

During the event, The Green Foundation CEO U Himat spoke to the farmers regarding the means to improve soil fertility and ways to solve problems faced in agriculture.

On the other hand, World Soil Month 2019 was also organised at Sangaithel, Imphal West yesterday.

The event was organised by The Green Foundation and Kaorel Agro Farmer Producer Co Ltd, under the aegis of NABARD.

Bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides were also distributed during the said event.
