The name of Dr.M Nara has been included in the declared list 33 persons as candidates of CPI (first phase list of candidature lists) for contesting to the forthcoming election to Lok Sabha which is likely to come up in April.Nara's will contest the election in the Inner-Manipur Parliamentary seat in the declared list which was announced after a meeting of the national executive of the CPI held at New Delhi yesterday.
The announcement was made by its national general secretary AB Bardan after the meeting.
He also while stating that the declared list was the first phase of the candatures, said that the party will field 50 candidates in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
On the other hand, the 38th conference of the CPI Kakching local council was held today at Kakching Seska hall.
Around 1000 workers and leaders of the party gathered at the conference.
The conference was attended by its state council member Yenkhom Dhananjoy and local council executive member M Iboyaima as presidium member.
Former state minister, Dr M Nara also attended the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nara said that the prevailing chaotic situation in the state could be solved only by political means.
He also said that a government which can bring a change the prevailing system is must in the state and called to teach a lesion to the politician who changes their ideology and political status frequently.
The conference also drafted a resolution containing various points among which most importantly to press concern authorities to include the seven assembly constituencies of Thoubal district to the inner-parliamentary constituency.
