MLA Kikhonbou appointed Vice Chairman of HAC

Imphal, July 05 2013 : MLA Z Kikhonbou Newmai of Tamei A/C has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC).

The announcement was made during a function held at the Old Assembly Secretariat today which was attended by RD & PR Minister Francis Ngajokpa and other MLAs.

Born on May 2, 1966 at Takou village in Tamenglong district, MLA Z Kikhonbou Newmai got elected to the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election in 2012 as an INC candidate.

He was a member of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and also the General Secretary of Tamenglong District Congress Committee.

He married Widouliu Newmai and the couple is blessed with two sons and a daughter.

Before entering poplitics, Kikhonbou was working as the Vice Principal of Tamei English High School and also as the Chief Functionary of People Development Agency.
