Some 'social workers' disappoint politicians: RB

Radhabinod Koijam today said that the activities of so called social workers has disappointed those in the line of politics.
Handing over the management of the newly renovated Laijingningthou Pukhri under his Local Area Development Fund to the Laijingningthou Seva Committee MLA Radhabinod Koijam said that the na�ve and new prospective candidates who have sprouted in the name of being social workers are new to politics.
Such, so called social workers are pulling down the image of politicians in the public by undertaking cheap works like selling rice, sugar, fuels etc at reduced rates.
Reacting against the anti social activities being carried out by anti social elements, he said that extortion, life threats and other types of anti social activities have caused uncertainty in the security of the people of the state.
It has become difficult to differentiate the true revolutionaries from the anti revolutionaries, RB said.
He also said that he had pressed the government to include clause about the MLA Local Area Development Fund to let them help local poor and other needy persons in times of critical medical treatment.
