Condolence meeting held

A condolence meeting was held to mourn the sudden demise of Professor S Brajamani, Department of Physics, Manipur University on early morning of October 27, at the office of the Manipur University Teachers' Association, MU.
A press release issued by MUTA president Prof M Ranjit said that late Prof S Brajamani had a massive stroke on October 24 and he is now survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.
MU administrator Jarnail singh, senior most Professor Amar Yumnam, MUTA president Professor M Ranjit were present at the condolence meeting.
The meeting recalled late Professor Brajamani's association with higher education in the State as a dedicated teacher of MU and a good researcher in Mathematical and Physical Sciences for more than 27 years.
It also recalled the services he rendered during February 1992 to May 2007 as a faculty members of the Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University, Assam.
The meeting deeply condoled the passing away of the Professor, who had spent the best years of his life in Dibrugarh and Manipur Universities serving the cause of higher education in the regions, it said.
To pay respect to the departed soul, the meeting observed two minutes silence and prayed to the almighty to give peace to his soul.
It shared the pain and loss of the bereaved family.
