Two killed in road related mishaps

Imphal, November 01 2012: At least two persons lost their lives in road related accidents which occurred in Imphal during the past couple of days.

A man in his early 50s succumbed to injuries received after he was hit by a truck (NL 01k/2407) near Sangaiprou godown under Lamphel Police Station yesterday at around 2:30 pm.

The victim has been identified as Thokchom Tomba, s/o Th Tombi of Langjing Achouba Makha Leikai.

The body has been handed over to the family after post mortem at RIMS today.

A case has been registered at Lamphel Police Station in this regard.

Meanwhile, one Md Achouba (35), s/o Md Rafiudin of Keirak who has been undergoing treatment at RIMS, following a road mishap on November 7 near the gate of Lilong Haoreibi College, succumbed to his injuries on November 8 .

The body has been taken by the family from the mortuary of JNIMS today, after being kept there for the last two days.
