MCP condemns blast

Imphal, November 30 2011: While terming the bomb blast at the gate of the Manipur Sangai Festival which killed an innocent rickshaw puller as an act of cowardice, the Maoists Communist Party, Manipur today condemned the inhuman act.

In a press statement, MCP stated that using innocent people as human shield or a way to create such attack is an act of cowardice.

The statement also aired its suspicion of high possibilities of the hand of government or security forces in the blast which occured in the heart of the city in amidst of tight security measures in and around the Imphal city in relation with the ongoing Sangai Festival and the scheduled visit of Prime Minister of India.

While urging the people to be find out the real culprit behind the blast, it further stated that MCP will not remain silent whenever a worker becomes victim in the state even if the whole world remain silent.

Maoists will never forgive such serious offence against innocent workers in the state and will go to the root the hands behind it, the statement added.
