Erratic power supply continues to hamper normal life in Noney

Noney, April 08 2024: With no signs of improvement, erratic power supply in Noney district has been causing immense problems to the residents of the district, especially students who are appearing for their exams.

The civil society organisations (CSOs) and the residents of the region have reported that, 'There has been no electricity in different areas of Noney District Headquarters and many villages in the district for the past 48 hours' .

They have maintained that the 33KV Power Sub-Station Noney has been unable to provide regular power supply in its area due to frequent breakdown of Noney to Yurembam HT Line and outdated feeder machines in the said power station.

Considering the plights of the people due to irregular power supply, the CSOs and the residents have urged the Government and authorities concerned to resolve the power crisis in Noney district at the earliest.
