Imphal, February 06 2013: The proposed 48-hour Sadar Hills bandh called by Sadar Hills Chiefs Association (SAHILCA) has been postponed in response to the appeal made by All Tribal Chief's Forum, Manipur.

SAHILCA had announced the bandh with effect from 5 am of February 7 in pursuance of the demand for cancellation of the order issued by the government of Manipur in 2009 which gives 25% to ADCs and another 25% to Line departments in MGNREGS implementation.

Another demand of the Association is to implement MGNREGS project as per the Central Guideline & Rules and payment of compensation to the job card holders for the delay in release of their due wages.
