Chandel, September 22 2013: The wind shield of an ambulance belonging to Chandel District Hospital was damaged when some unknown persons attacked with stones near the Office gate of Fishery Department, Chandel last night.

The incident occurred at around 9:00 pm, while the ambulance bearing registration No.MN0W-4586 was returning from RIMS Hospital at Imphal after dropping a patient for further treatment.

The vehicle was driven by a driver of Chandel District Hospital along with one relative of the patient when the attack took place.

Chandel Police have registered a case in this connection.

The case no is 5(9) 2013 CDL, PS U/S 366/427 IPC.

Meanwhile, MLA of 41 AC Chandel St Nunghlung Victor and the Management staffs of the District Hospital have strongly condemned the incident.

MLA Nunghlung Victor said such ugly incident should not be repeated and appealed to all concerned to respect public properties.
