Strict measures have been taken up along the Indo-Myanmar border in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to media persons, SP of Tengnoupal Police Th Vikramjit informed that the fencing of border pillars along Indo-Myanmar border undertaken by State Government as a precautionary measure is now almost complete.
Illegal entry/movements into the State will reduce drastically as the fencing of border pillars no 77 to 79 is complete and a vigilant security force comprising of Tengnoupal Police, Manipur Rifles, IRB, Assam Rifles are stationed at the spots, he said.
He also praised the residents of Moreh town and Tengnoupal for their co-operation during lockdown.
Saying that the fight against COVID-19 is a team effort, he appealed to the masses to continue maintaining social distance and
observe personal hygiene.
