All Political Parties delegation to leave for Delhi on January 16

Imphal, January 14 2013:
Protection of territorial integrity of Manipur and the Chandel molestation case in which a senior cadre of NSCN (IM) allegedly molested a film actress on December 18 last are likely to be main issues to be raised by a delegation of 14 political parties of the State including the Congress party when they meet the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister at Delhi.
A meeting of the all political parties was held at the office of Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam in the Old Secretariat building here today.
However, since Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh was out of station, the final draft of the memorandum to be submitted to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister could not be finalized.
Nonetheless, proposals from the side of other political parties were submitted to the Deputy Chief Minister during the meeting.
After a serious deliberation, the meeting decided to meet the Chief Minister at Delhi and finalized the final draft there itself.
In the proposed memorandum, besides the Chandel molestation case, a series of crimes allegedly committed by NSCN-IM in Manipur including abduction of Irungbam Irabanta have been mentioned for appraisal to the Central leaders.
The all political parties' delegation would be leaving for Delhi on January 16.Though exact date of their meeting with the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister is still not known, the meeting is likely to convene on January 18.The delegation will be arriving in Imphal on January 20 .
The delegation would be led jointly by CM O Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam and it would consist of altogether 14 members.
They are Dr M Nara, Secretary, CPI, Manipur State Council; Y Mani of MSCP; M Tombi of JD(U); N Sovakiran of MPP; Manihar Goshwami of JD(S); L Ibomcha of NCP; N Kavita of BSP; S Shamungou of Siv Sena; Kh Gyaneshwar of AIFB; Rk Sivachandra of AITC; Sarat Salam of CPI(M); Karam Shyam of LJSP and Prof S Tikendra of BJP .
