Members of Chothe Baptist Churches Associa-
tion (ChBCA) along with Chandel ADC
Member Th Hopeson Chothe provided mon-
etary assistance to the hailstorm affected
villagers of Khongkhang village in Chandel to-
day, our correspondent reports.
ChBCA president Ps Peter and executive
secretary Reverend Hranum Khiang along
with Th Hopeson Chothe, ADC Member
from 9-Purum DCC visited the houses dam-
aged by the hailstorm at Khongkhang village.
The team came across several houses cov-
ered with tarpaulin.
After interacting with the villagers and
Church leaders, ChBCA's president Ps Peter
handed over monetary assistance to the local
Church Pastor.
The amount was donated by
Churches under Chothe Baptist Association.
ADC Member Th Hopeson said he will
apprise the higher authorities of the situation
and urge provision of necessary assistance
for the hailstorm affected villagers.
ChBCA executive secretary Reverend
Hranum Khiang urged the authorities con-
cerned to provide necessary assistance to the
affected villagers.
Mention may be made, more than 60
houses of Khongkhang village were dam-
aged in the recent squall.
Meanwhile, Khongkhang Village Author-
ity and members of Khongkhang Baptist
Church have expressed gratitude to Health
Minister D Korungthang, Chandel ADC
Chairman, Deputy Commissioner, ADC
Member Th Hopeson Chothe, Y Winlet
Chothe, Lainingkhu Village Authority,
Chothe Baptist Churches Association and
others who visited and provided immediate
relief to the villagers.
