Many donate to save young girl with kidney ailments

In a show of humanity, many have come forward to provide financial assistance to 11-year old Laishram Deviya for her double kidney transplant surgery following the call for help raised by Relief Committee JNIMS.
Today, a team of UNACCO Residential School Chanung teachers and students led by Principal Maibam Sheileja donated a sum of Rs 15,000 towards Deviya's medical care.
They also handed her a greeting card with the words "Get well soon Deviya" and offered encouragement to the young student of Target English School, Leimaram.
In addition, the Progressive Youth Organisation (PYO) Uripok Sorbon Thingel pitched in Rs 8000 to help Deviya get the much-needed kidney transplant.
These are among numerous people who have stepped forward to provide monetary help to the young girl recently.
Relief Committee JNIMS has conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has donated to help Deviya with her health issues.
Speaking in this connection, Thoidingjam Bon, chairman, Relief Committee JNIMS has appealed for further monetary aid from the people to ensure that the young girl's hope of attending school once again is realized and her renal issues are treated successfully with a double kidney transplant.
To facilitate smooth and easy donations, the Committee chairman also shared the details of the ailing girl's mother's GPay account where people can make donations- GPay mobile no 8132827565, user name Laishram Sanathoi.
It may be noted that Laishram Deviya has been receiving medical treatment for kidney failure at the Female Medicine Ward of JNIMS Hospital since May 24 .
After violence erupted on May 3, she along with her family members fled their home in the foothills of Leimaram and sought shelter at a relief camp.
In the midst of these tribulations, she also lost her father to an illness on August 27 .
