RN Ravi meets Nagaland CM TR Zeliang

Kohima, August 27 2015: Nagaland Legislators' Forum (NLF) held a marathon consultative meet on Thursday with Government of India interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi.

The meeting was chaired by the Speaker Chotisuh Sazo, while the Chief Minister TR Zeliang delivered the keynote address.

RN Ravi explained the framework agreement in detail.

The members raised a number of pertinent queries which were all elaborately explained by RN Ravi.

Following the discussions, a three-point resolution was adopted by the forum.

The resolution includes the decision to welcome the Naga Peace Accord and appealed to all the Nagas to pray and contribute positively towards the signing of the final accord.

It was also decided that all elected members should go to their respective constituencies and initiate public discussion for an honorable and acceptable solution.

The NLF delegation will visit Delhi to meet the Central leaders of various political parties to bring about a permanent solution to the Naga political issue.

On Wednesday, RN Ravi had also called on the Governor of Nagaland and discussed key issues related to the peace accord signed between NSCN (IM) and the Government of India.
