Imphal, January 16 2018: One more school teacher has been terminated from service after she was found pursuing MBBS course at JNIMS.

With regard to Primary Teacher (SSA) KP Combel Hangaone's termination, Education (S) Director Th Kirankumar issued an order today.

Combel Hangaone is a daughter of KR Robert Pou of Maiba village, Senapati.

She was appointed as a Primary Teacher (SSA) on September 25, 2012 and she started pursuing MBBS course at JNIMS from 2013 .

Counting Combel Hangaone, the School Education Department has so far terminated seven teachers after they were found pursuing MBBS courses.

Combel Hangaone was first posted at Haokhong Ching Lower Primary School, Senapati before she was transferred to Pongba Primary School.

In the meantime, Education (S) Department received a report about Combel Hangaone pursuing MBBS course at JNIMS while being employed as a Primary Teacher (SSA) .

Subsequently, the department sought a report from JNIMS authority.

The report furnished by the JNIMS Dean (Academics) said that Combel Hangaone has been a regular student since her admission into MBBS course at JNIMS on September 10, 2013 and she appeared 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Part I) professional MBBS examinations and passed the examinations.

She is presently appearing 3rd professional MBBS (Part II) examination.

Apart from terminating Combel Hangaone, the ZEO Senapati has been directed to lodge an FIR against her for alleged fraudulence and wrongful drawal of pay and allowances.

The ZEO has also been instructed to recover the pay and allowances drawn by Combel Hangaone and deposit the same in the relevant head of accounts within a period of six months.
