Rally held at Thinungei

A 'Conservation Rally' was held at Thinungei, Bishnupur AC today as part of the observance of 63rd Wildlife Week 2018 on the theme "Celebrate the rights of Wildlife" which was begun from October 1 at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School in which painting, quiz and debating competition were held in connection with the observance.
RO Moirang L Babuyai and Wildlife Warden Bishnupur K Jugeshwore Singh flagged off the rally which was jointly organized by Bishnupur Forest Division in association with Pole Star Guardian Association (POSGAT) Thinungei, Angels Club and Sanamahi thougal Lup Thingungei, Global Science Club Khoijuman and Toubul Youths' Development Association (TYDA).
Students of Thinunggei Phubala High School, Impetus School, Thinungei Upper Primary School, members of POSGAT, Sanamahi Thougal Lup, Angels Club and staff of Forest Department took part in the rally which started from Thinungei market and passed through adjoining area around Thinungei and headed back towards Thinungei market.
Students also raised slogans in the rally.
Placards which read as "Protect Wildlife, Protect Manipur", "Conserve Wild Animals", "I Love Wild Animals.
Do You?", "Preserve Earth, Save Animals", "Want to Shoot Animals? Use Camera", "Save Wildlife, Save Future", "Save Their Home, Stop Deforestation".
"Stop Animal Abuse" were used during the rally.
