87th Haipou Jadonang Martyr's Day observed

The 87th Haipou Jadonang Martyr's Day was organized today by Rongmei Naga Youth Organization in collaboration with Rongmei Students' OrganizationManipur (RSOM), Rongmei Naga Council Manipur (RNCM) and Jadonang Memorial College Board, co-hosted by Longmai Bazar Youth Club (LBYC).
The program was attended by Adim Pamei vice-chairperson, State Disaster Management Authority Govt of Manipur, Namdihiam (Michael) Dangmei president ST Morcha BJP Manipur Pradesh, Zino Kamei ADC Member Tamenglong and PG Singsit (IPS) SP Noney, Napoleon Ruangmei DFO Longmai District, Major CS Chouhan Adjutant 8th AR Noney, Kapudai Dangmei chairman Longmai (Thoupei) as dignitaries.
The program began with traditional howling followed by hoisting of flag by chief guest while floral tribute has also been paid to the photo of Haipou Jadonang.
A silence moment of homage was also paid to the martyr on the occasion.
Guangphun Gangmei president (RNYO, North East) congratulated the Organizing Committee - The Rongmei Youth of Longmai area - for their incredible Job.
On the occasion, Haipou Jadonang Martyr's cup was also launched in memory of martyr Haipou Jadonang which is introduced to recognize, remember and respect Jadonang for his spirit of valiant determination and will power.
Guangphun Gangmei also wished the Organizing Committee to flourish with grand success in creating a new era of Football legendary movement "Football for Freedom".
Chief guest Adim Pamei mentioned that games & sports play a very important role to bring peace, unity and integrity in the society besides it helped to enhance our discipline and personality.
All together a total of 24 teams participate in the Jadonang Martyr's Cup - 2018 at Longmai Common Ground.
Rongmei Students' Organization Liberal College (RSOLC) won the first opening match beating Makhuam Haolaijang Youth Club 5-1 in penalty shootout while Namching Youth Club outclassed Makhuam- 1 Youth Club 3-1 in the 2nd match.
