MHF conducts free heart and echo screening camp

Bishnupur, December 27 2019: Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) in association with SKY Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd and Utlou Weavers Co-operative Society Pvt Ltd conducted a one-day free heart and echo screening camp at Utlou Mayai Leikai, CHC Bishnupur District today.

A press release issued by MHF stated that heart OPD, Echocardiography, ECG and diabetes detection tests were conducted at free of cost during the camp, apart from providing free medicines.

Altogether 96 patients were given free heart OPD and free echo screening was provided to 12 patients, free ECG to 34 patients and free diabetes detection tests to 29 patients, it said and added that one child below 18 yrs of age was detected to have CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) for which free further assessment at SKY hospital was advised.

Dr L Shyamkishore, president, Manipur Heart Foundation asserted that the foundation would continue to provide free heart camps at different places of Manipur.

He appealed to the people of Manipur to take the opportunity of such free services at their doorsteps.
