Stop harassing Kuki civilians: KNF-N to NSCN-IM

Kangpokpi, May 26 2020: The non-SoO Kuki militant outfit, KNF-N has asked the NSCN-IM 'to stop harassment upon the Kuki civilians and their sinister land encroachment policy'.

Gou alias Kuki, information and publicity secretary, KNF-N said that according to the eyewitness of the innocent Kuki cultivators, some NSCN (IM) Tangkhul led Gangsters threatened and disturbed them on their livelihood at Monglham area on May 25 .

He continued that the NSCN-IM led Gangsters threatened the Kuki farmers to stop cultivation at their land while claiming the land to be their (Tangkhul) land.

The outfit also warned the NSCN (IM) to immediately stop claiming 'the Kuki's ancestral land as their land' .

It also stated that it was very unfortunate to learn that the NSCN-IM is disturbing the less fortunate and poor Kuki civilians during the pandemic COVID-19 and taking advantages 'to implement their sinister land encroachment policy'.

The KNF-N added that they do not want any conflict, but, 'if the NSCN-IM wish we are ready for it' .
