Senapati, April 16 2015 : Following the death of an aged woman pensioner at 1st MR ground yesterday, distribution centre of Old Age Pension in respect of Kangpokpi which was earlier arranged only at one centre has been rearranged for distribution at two centres for the convenience of aged pensioners, our correspondent reports.

According to N Usharani, Social Welfare Officer, Saitu Gamphazol, the Old Age Pension for beneficiaries of Kalapahar area, Haipi area to T Khullen area including IT Road areas as well as Kangpokpi and its adjoining areas would be distributed at ADC Complex, Kangpokpi on April 16 and 17 respectively while beneficiaries of Kholjang to Keithelmanbi and its adjoining areas would be distributed at CC Hall, Keithelmanbi on April 18 and 20 respectively.

The distribution of pension amount scheduled for today at SDO Office, Saitu Gamphazol was postponed to April 25 owing to the 24 hours general strike imposed by VDF personnel, she informed.
