IM luring Kabuis with AA bait

The Collective Leadership of NSCN-IM has urged the Kabuis settling in valley areas since time immemorial to bond themselves in the 'Alternative Arrangement' of the Nagas.
Following the intimation of NSCN-IM leaders, K Poushinglung, General Secretary of Zeliangrong Union (ZU), Assam, Nagaland & Manipur (ANM) has served a notice to all the village leaders, village Thoubeis and elderly persons of all the Kubui villages in the valley and convened a meeting at the head office of ZU, Kakhulong, Paona Bazaar, Imphal today at 11 am to discuss the matter.
According to a reliable source, the meeting chaired by President of ZU (ANM) Amu Kamei was attended by around 70 Kabui village leaders.
K Poushinglung, who had called the meeting, was also present as presidium member.
K Poushinglung informed the gathering about the statement forwarded by the two NSCN-IM leaders namely Isak Chishi Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah to ZU.
He also informed that the NSCN (IM) leaders have asked to take note of the number of Kabui villages, names of the villages and their population.
The meeting, however, could not calculate the exact number of villages, their names and population of the Kabui tribes settling in valley since half of the leaders of the Kabui village did not turn up in the meeting.
Nevertheless, the Kabui village leaders have been informed to give their comments in writing to the ZU at the earliest.
The comments would be sent to the collective leadership of NSCN-IM, the source disclosed.
The source further revealed that during the meeting today, three resolutions were adopted.
They are to press the Union Government and the leaders of NSCN-IM to grant the same facilities to the Kabui villages in the valley in case of exclusion from 'Alternative Arrangement' of the Nagas; to urge the Union Government and the leaders of NSCN-IM to provide equal facilities enjoyed by the Kabuis in the valley to all those who want to be under the 'Alternative Arrangement' of the Nagas and to press the Central Government to provide security to Kabuis in the valley since there are possibilities of communal clashes in the event of approval of the demand for 'Alternative Arrangement' of the Nagas.
The source went on to reveal that two opposite groups have emerged in with regard to the present development.
The first group desires to be under a different administrative unit while the other group desires to remain peacefully together with the people of other communities in the valley.
The meeting also resolved to demand the Indian Government and the NSCN-IM to do all the needful in case of shifting of the whole villages of the Kabuis in the hills, if at all they have to be under the Naga Administrative unit.
