Imphal, April 08 2024: Sapam Samungou, secretary Manipur Peoples Democratic Front, has appealed to all eligible voters to exercise caution and vote wisely toelectgood&dedicatedleaders in the the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.

Addressing a press conference at Manipur Press Club on Sunday, Sapam Samungou said that being a citizen of the world's biggest democracy it is not only 'our' right but a responsibility to elect the right set of people to administer the functioning of the country.

He lamented that due to lack of awareness about the electoral process & informed voting, the people have failed to identify and elect good leaders who are committed to uphold the interest of the State.

"If the people had elected good MPs and MLAs, the present conflict which has been going on for more than 10 months could have been prevented/ ended earlier", he added.

Expressing concern over the growing political corruption in the State, Samungou appealed to all the voters to not become easy prey to bribe by politicians and exercise their right wisely to elect a good leader in the upcoming election.
