Chandel, February 07 2015 : Irrigation and Flood Control Department Minister Ngamthang Haokip inaugurated a newly constructed building of T Tuisomjang Primary School, Chandel district today, reports our correspondent.

Constructed under SSA, the inaugural function was also attended by MLA D Korungthang, Chandel ADC chairman Lhukhosei Zou.

Speaking at the function, Minister Ngamthang Haokip said that every school is capable of providing quality education and cited that many prominent leaders and officers of the State are the products of schools located in interior villages.

Stating that inaugurating a school building would be of no use if students do not get enrolled and teachers fail to attend the school, Minister Ngamthang urged the villagers to co-operate with the school managing committee in providing better educational opportunities to the children.

The inaugural function was also attended by IDCD chief engineer Indramani, executive members of ADC Chandel and Tengnoupal SDO L Kirankumar.
