Two UG cadres held

Imphal, November 04 2015: Troops of Red Shield Division apprehended one PLA cadre from Zou Veng, Churachandpur on November 2 .

Based on a specific input regarding the presence of a PLA cadre, troops of the Division launched an operation at around 6 pm, said a press release issued by PIB (DW) .

The party apprehended a cadre having Army No 24163 and batch year 2001 .

He has been identified as self styled Pvt Mayanglambam Tomba Singh alias Ton alias Nongnanlakpa (27) s/o (L) Jotishor Singh of Tuibong in Churachandpur district.

He has been handed over to Churachandpur police station, added the press release.

In another incident, troops of 22 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) launched an operation at Kakching bazar and apprehended one KYKL (MDF) cadre yesterday, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .

He has been identified as No 772, self styled Pvt Moirangthem Govin Singh alias Khaba (29) s/o Moirangthem Ibotombi Singh of Langathel Ingkhol Mamang Leikai in Thoubal district.

He joined the outfit's 30th batch on October 27, 2008, added the press release.

One demand note was recovered from his possession.

He has been handed over to Kakching police station, added the press release.
