CS details steps taken by FC for 7th Pay

Representatives of Manipur Government Services Federation, today, met the Chief Secretary who is also the Chairman of the Fitment Committee which was formed to monitor the implementation of 7th pay in the State.
According to an official source, a team of the Manipur Government Services Federation, led by its president Dr M Rajendra Singh and general secretary Purujit Lairikyengbam met the Chief Secretary at his office chamber at Secretariat south block, at around 4 pm.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary detailed all the steps taken up by the fitment committee till date.
The Chief Secretary also assured the representatives that most of the necessary processes have been completed and the only thing left is to thoroughly discuss the implementation of 7th pay in the State and bring it up in the Cabinet, the source added.
The source further pointed out that the Chief Secretary informed the representatives of Manipur Government Services Federation about the non-possibility of conducting a future meeting of the fitment committee soon, as the Assembly Session will begin from February 2.However, he assured that the fitment committee will organise a meeting to complete all pending processes as soon as the Assembly session wraps up and submit the necessary report to the State Government, the source stated.
The source further sated that the representatives of the federation conveyed that they will try to meet Chief Minister N Biren regarding the implementation of 7th pay commission at the earliest.
On the other hand, a meeting for the employees of School Education Department, was organised at the Directorate's office at Lamphelpat at around 1 pm today, under the aegis of the Manipur Government Services Federation.
