Imphal, May 16 2020: Lifting of PDS rice and dal allocated for the month of May, 2020 continues in the State.

In Imphal West district, 1670.25 quintals of rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) was lifted for Langthabal Assembly Constituency while 568.9 quintals under National Food Security Act (NFSA) was lifted for Lamshang AC.

As of today, lifting of PDS rice under PMGKAY for the month of May has been completed for all the ACs in the district except for Thangmeiband AC and Yaiskul AC with a balance of 1600.85 quintals and 328.4 quintals respectively to be lifted.

Imphal East district had completely lifted its allocated quantity of PDS rice under PMGKAY and NFSA for May with the lifting of 1,832.20 quintals under PMGKAY, 1,092 quintals under PMGKAY and 228.85 quintals under NFSA for Lamlai AC, Yaiskul AC and Kshetrigao AC respectively, done today.

Nungba AC of Noney district too reported lifting of 79.54 quintals of rice under Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) from FCI Godown, Sangaiprou while Tamenglong AC of Tamenglong district lifted 617.85 quintals under OMSS from the same godown.

Ukhrul AC also lifted 1409 quintals of rice under NFSA from FCI godown, Ukhrul today.

For Kangpokpi district, NFSA rice allocated for Saitu Block (2,626 quintals), Kangpokpi Block (3,253.75 quintals) and Saikul Blocks (2,824.9 quintals) for May had been completely lifted.

Dal allocated under PMGKAY for April was also lifted for some ACs of the State today.

The dal lifted from FCS Godown, Sangaiprou consisted of 47.74 quintals for Nungba AC of Noney district and 96.75 quintals for Tamenglong AC of Tamenglong District.
