Thoubal, April 16 2015 : Against the backdrop of growing suspicion and misunderstandings among the different communities in the wake of the Yairipok Tulihal incident of March 22, a peace meeting was held today at Yairipok Bazar.

The meet organised by Khwai Nungseng Sinthalup (KHANSI) was attended by Retd Col Dr Manoranjan Khuman, internal security adviser of MHA; Maibam Ibotombi Khuman, BDO; Yumnam Nabachandra, president UCM; S Manitomba, lecturer; Md Azlam Khan, former president of TIPS; Haji Kasim Ali, social activist and Md Hasan Ali as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

Speakers of the meet called upon all concerned to end stereotypification of any criminal activities.

They also cautioned all concerned against the recurrence of any communal activities in Yairipok area.
