Imphal, December 22 2017: Under the sponsorship of UGC-NERO, a two-day National workshop on Research Methodology for Faculty of Social Sciences began today at DM College of Arts .

The workshop is being organised by DM College of Arts in collaboration with Manipur Sociological (MSS) .

The inaugural function was attended by Prof N Lokendra Singh, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Manipur University as chief guest; Sarangajit Khundrakpam, principal of DM College of Arts as president; Prof Rajendra Kshetri, Head, Dept of Sociology, MU & president of MSS and Dr Sheelaramani Ch, Head, Dept of English & president of Teachers' Forum, DM College of Arts as guests of honour .

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Lokendra said that the National workshop is being held with an aim to address a myriad of social issues and explore solutions to the difficulties encountered by researchers of the State .

He informed that representatives from 29 colleges are taking part in the workshop .

He opined that faculties of social science can take benefits from various research subjects .

The Professor also said that participants of the workshop should try to gain valuable knowledge shared by the resource persons.
