Free surgical camp for BPL families on March 18

Imphal, March 04 2016 : With an endeavour to extend philanthropic service to the society, Late Dr Ningombam Ibobi Singh Memorial Trust and Iboyaima Hospital and Research Centre, Singjamei will organize a free surgical camp on March 18 .

Addressing media persons today at the office of Pandam daily, convener of the Trust, Maisnam Shivdatta Luwang announced that the free surgical camp is being organized to commemorate the 17th death anniversary of late Dr Nigombam Ibobi Singh who was a pioneer in bringing a change in the education system of Manipur.

The surgical camp will be conducted by Prof N Jitendra of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) for patients belonging to below poverty line families at Iboyaima Hospital and Research Centre, Singjamei.

Prior to the camp on March 12, case detection camp will be conducted for patients who approach the hospital or the Trust on or before March 11 with proof of their financial stature, he added.

The case detection camp of March 12 will also be free of cost, he said and added that the organizers aim to conduct 10 major general surgical operations on March 18 .

He urged the public irrerspective of caste, creed, religion or geographical location to approach the trust and receive the benefit of the free surgical camp.

He added that the trust will also provide help to the old age Home at Mongsangei and the children Home at Dewlahland.
