Kendriya Vidyalaya celebrates 55th Annual Day

Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Imphal today celebrated its 55th Annual Day at the school campus in Lamphelpat.
The celebration was attended by Union Minister of State, Education & External Affairs, Dr RK Ranjan Singh; Thangmeiband AC MLA, Khumukcham Joykishan; former Education Minister, M Okendro Singh; and KV No 1 Imphal, principal Vishwanath Namaram among others.
At the event, Vishwanath Namaram presented the Annual Report and expressed his joy over the successful conduct of the Annual Day celebration.
He shared that Annual Day is organised every year to acknowledge new innovations, ideas and achievements of students during the previous academic session.
Expressing his gratitude to the Union Minister, he mentioned that construction has started for a permanent building of the Vidyalaya under the initiative of Dr RK Ranjan Singh.
"As per the work agency, construction of the new building will be completed by December 2024", he added.
Later, a prize distribution ceremony to outstanding students in the field of sports, academics and other areas was conducted followed by a cultural programme wherein a variety of colourful dance and music were showcased by the students.
