Imphal, October 31 2015 :
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has said that no issue can be solved through bandh or blockade but will give hardship and inconvenience to the general public.
He was speaking at the 31st death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi held at Congress Bhavan today.
The Deputy Chief Minister urged the organisations to resolve their issues through talks instead of disturbing normal life of the public by imposing bandhs and blockades.
Regarding an organisations's effort to construct its own road, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government does not have the authority to disrupt any positive endeavour.
However, it is not likely that the organisation would succeed in their endeavour without the help of the Government as it would require a huge amount of fund, Gaikhangam said.
The State Government is putting in effort to enhance the conditions of the highways, he said.
After the Government sent invitation for the fourth time, Gaikhangam said, a talk with JAC Churachandpur is likely within a few days as the JAC has responded to the invitation.
Instead of indulging in blame games, resolving the issue on the table would be the best option, he observed.
Speaking on today's occasion, Gaikhangam said that Indira Gandhi was an abled leader of the country.
She tried hard for the betterment of the country and welfare of her people till her last breath.
The function was organised by MPCC.
