One hurt in rack collapse in Thangal Bazar

Imphal, July 31 2011: A labourer sustained injuries when a rack collapsed inside a hardware store in Thangal Bazar here this morning.

An iron rack put inside Raja Steel hardware store for keeping GI plain sheets collapsed at about 9.30 am causing injuries to Dhananjoy from Sitabari district of Bihar but currently staying at Imphal.

There were four labourers including Dhananjoy inside the store and they were re-locating some materials from one rack to another when one of the racks collapsed suddenly.

Dhananjoy was rushed to RIMS.

Later rescue workers of Fire Service came to the store and checked if any one was buried under the pile of GI sheets.

By 11.30 am, it was confirmed that no one was buried under the rubble.

The three other labourers also sustained some minor injuries.
