Kakching, February 24 2024: A joint meeting of clubs/associations/organizations presidents of Kakching district was held today at the Old Age Home, Kakching Wairi Panjao Pallum organised by the Senior Citizens Forum, Kakching to discuss the issues of the district due to inadequacy of different Government Departments.

The meeting stressed on the inability of various Governmental departments to function effectively in Kakching district due to staff shortage and absence of adequate manpower and infrastructure.

Apart from the above, the district does not have required Government Departments which is essential for the smooth functioning of a district.

With regards to delayed processes in the Settlement Department, the meeting resolved to form a Steering Committee of seven members.

The committee has been formed to urge the authorities concerned to let the Settlement Department function properly as before in the larger interest of the people in the district.
