Lourembam Manglem Singh, Advocate conferred Best Citizens of India title

Imphal, June 06, 2014: Lourembam Manglem Singh, Advocate has been conferred the Best Citizens of India title by the Best Citizen Publishing House in recognition of his exceptional calibre and outstanding performance in his chosen area of activity.

The title was also bestowed on other well known personalities including MV Rajashekrana MLC (Former State Planning Minister), Dr Bhisma Narain Singh, ex-Governor, former CBI Director Joginder Singh, former Election Commissioner GVG Krishamurthy, Air Chief Marshal NC Suri, Excelling Architect Feroz Kudianawala, Acknowledged Architect Hafiz Contractor, Lord Swaraj Paul, NRI, Sumitra Singh (Speaker of Rajasthan), Dr Raghuvir S Kadian (Speaker of Haryana) Dr Naresh Trehan, Chief Cardiovascular Surgeon and Dr Deka, Dean of AIIMS.

L Manglem Singh, LLB from Lucknow University, Diploma in Taxation has been with the Congress for the last 30 years, since 1980.As a practising lawyer, he rendered his service in defending the late Indira Gandhi, in Gauhati High Court, while she was facing a number of serious charges.

He was Treasurer of Manipur Youth Congress from 1987-1990, vice president of Manipur Youth Congress, 1990-1993, vice president city district DCC, 1993-1995 and election campaign working president 10th Lok Sabha election and publicity and propaganda wing, MPCC.
