35th Raising Day of Ziontlang Village celebrated

Chandel, October 03 2018: The 35th raising day of Ziontlang Village was celebrated at its playground today.

The celebration function began with the hoisting of flag since early morning by founder of Ziontlang Village, R Areng Chothe while Circle Pastor Y Zoram Chothe led the prayer session.

The function was attended by Vice-chairperson Manipur State Disaster Management Authority Adim Pamei, Chief of Purum Khullen Village Mk Wanrenghoi Chothe, President of Chothe Lim Abom Manipur, CLAM (Chothe Tribe Union Manipur) Th Minthing Chothe, Chief of Ziontlang Village R Youthson Chothe, Assistant Chairman Chothe Chief Association M Thaninjao Chothe, Joint Secretary UNC Gabriel Chinir, National Member (Special Invitee) BJP Kishan Morcha and State Executive Member BJP Manipur Pradesh M Rameshwar, Secretary Manipur Gorkha Union Kharga Tamang, President Naga Chiefs Association Chandel Ts Ruwngwar Anal as presidium members.

Chief of Ziontlang Village R Youthson Chothe welcomed the dais members and the public while traditional song and dance of Chothe community were presented during the function.

As a part of the celebration, meritorious award were distributed to the successful students of the village who have excelled in the HSLC Class-X and HSSLC Class-XII conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM examinations to appreciate their effort while simple gifts were also handed over to the elders of the village as a mark of respect.

Games and sports in different disciplines were also conducted during the celebration.

The celebration ended with the lowering of the flag by Assistant Chief of Ziontlang Village Mk Simon Chothe while SDO, BDO, SDC and other staffs of Chandel District, members of Naga Chief Association Chandel and Chithe Chief Association, Church leaders, women leaders and villagers attended the raising day celebration.
