Sit-in protest continues in different parts of Bishnupur

Bishnupur, October 28 2019: In support of the ongoing public alert campaign spearheaded by COCOMI regarding the peace talks between Central Govt and NSCN (IM), sit-in protest were staged in different parts of Bishnupur District today.

Manipur Muslim Welfare Organization (MMWO), Bishnupur District Committee, Jamiat-Ulma Bishnupur, SEECUO, KSA Mohamadan Club Kwakta Makha Leikai jointly organized sit-in protest at Kwakta Bazar raising slogans for the united Manipur and the final solution of the peace talks cannot affect the territorial integrity of Manipur.

Shopkeepers of Kwakta Bazar, women folks and elders took part in the sit-in protest using placards which read as "Sit In Protest Against Diversion Policy of India Govt", "Integrity of Manipur cannot be compromised" .

JC Tiddim, Women Welfare Association Terakhongsangbi, Salai Kanba Lup also jointly organized sit-in protest raising slogans like territorial integrity of Manipur cannot be disturbed, no 6th Schedule of Naga territorial boundaries at Terakhong Sangbi Leimaram Leikai Tiddim today.

The sit-in protest was also attended by spokesperson of COCOMI Dr Y Mani Khuman, president UCOBID Bishnupur Th Noren, president Salai Kanba Lup L Gopal, Convenor JC Tiddim SK Mangang and Meira Paibi Kh Sushila Devi.

Placards which read as "Bring Solution not Problem", "Don't Break Manipur", "Give peace not piece", "We strongly oppose India's Divisive Policy" etc were used during the protest.

Leimaren Apunba Meira Lup Nupi Khudekpi, Meira paibis and club organized sit-in protest at Khudekpi.
