Many join BJP in Heirok AC

Thoubal, August 20 2021: In a major political development, 71 people from 33/2 Kakmayai, 33/4 Pitra and 33/7 Salungpham joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Heirok Assembly Constituency today.

The new supporters of the saffron party were felicitated with saffron coloured shawl and cap by the Heirok AC MLA, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam appreciated the party workers and stated that the trust shown by the people towards the MLA was due to the hard work of the party workers and volunteers.

He highlighted the work carried out by the party workers in successfully implementing various schemes of the Government in the constituency.

The MLA also announced the various plans and project to be taken up in the constituency including the black topping of all the 58 inter village roads and Wangjing-Salungpham-Ningel road, installation of lighting pole in Shikhong Sekmai, etc.

Dr Th Radheshyam further appealed to the people to provide their support and assistance in making Heirok AC a better and developed constituency.

The felicitation ceremony was also attended by BJP Heirok Mandal president, Th Chourjit; Heirok Jilla Parishad member, T Nungshi Singh and other prominent members of the party.
