'Sikkim Fraternity Tour' flagged off

Bishnupur, May 04 2019: MLA Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh flagged off 'Sikkim Fraternity Tour' for Gangtok, organized by Senior Citizen for Society Moirang Chapter, Manipur, with the message 'Unity in Diversity' from Ibudhou Thangjing Laikon today.

A total of 34 people are participating in the 6-days tour led by O Gourakishore Singh, Secretary, Senior Citizen for Society Moirang Chapter, which aims at bringing together the different ethnic groups residing in different NE States more closer culturally and socially.

Regarding the tour, MLA Moirang AC, P Sharatchandra Singh said that in today's world, it is very important to grow together with other culture and community positively in order to bring development in the State.

"The main objective of the tour is to spread the message of unity in diversity in different NE states which will help in bringing some positive changes in the region through social, cultural and traditional exchanges", he added.
