Joyshree Usham bags RK Sanatomba award

Imphal, June 30 2021:
The 18th annual RK Sanatomba Memorial Journalist Award 2021 was conferred on Joyshree Usham, Associate Editor of Impact News for her excellent reportage on gender issues during 2020 .
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000/-, a citation and a shawl.
The award was presented to Joyshree Usham for her reports on crime against women, widows and female sex workers.
Joyshree Usham is daughter of Usham Dhananjoy and Usham ongbi Shimreichon of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai.

She had secured the 1st position in Class XII examination in Arts stream and completed her graduation and post graduation from Delhi University.
She joined Impact News in 2017 .
The award was presented in a simple function held at the office complex of the trust which was attended by family members and trustees.
Impact Medianet and Communication Private Ltd congratulated Joyshree Usham on winning the award.
RK Sanatomba Memorial Journalist Award is annually presented by RK Sanatomba Memorial Trust to distinguished media persons from the State in recognition of their dedication and sincerity in the memory of late RK Sanatomba, who was then the Editor of local daily Kangla Lanpung.
